3 Tips for Dealing with Anxiety

So many people these days experience anxiety more than ever before. Life is going at a rapid pace and we often feel like we are running on a treadmill. (If only we were burning as many calories!) As annoying as the snow days are, at least it gives us a chance to slow down and take a pause from our crazy lives.

Almost everyone who I speak to about my book and practice, tell me they experience anxiety in one way or another. If this is you, you are not alone. Here are a few simple tips to help you cope:
1. Stay in the moment. We often worry about the future, when most things that we worry about won't even happen, so notice when you are lost in a doom and gloom scenario and come back to what you are doing in that moment.
2. You only need to get through today. When you are feeling panicky, just remind yourself that you have gotten through every other day, you can get through this one too. One day at a time.
 3. If you have anxiety, don't be annoyed by it. Be kind to yourself and know that your human and this is very common. Get help and support if you need it, but don't beat yourself up.
