Do Argue with Reality?

How many times a day are you judging what is happening around you? “I wish I didn’t have to drive carpool today. I don’t like how he said that to me. I ate too much- I’m fed up with myself.” When we argue with what is, it can cause us tremendous stress. We don’t have to necessarily agree with what is happening or like it, but when we resist it, and wish things were different, we find ourselves helpless and feeling out of control. Surrendering to “what is” is a key factor in our ability to be peaceful and happy. If we can adjust to our surroundings, no matter what they are, we have more psychological flexibility which equals more contentment and less stress!
